Musketeer
Wind Energy Center
The Musketeer Wind Energy Center in Vermilion County, IL will generate clean, domestic energy to meet the nation's growing electricity demand. This project will capture the strong wind resource in Illinois, enabling the delivery of low cost wind energy.
Musketeer Wind will employ over 350 workers during construction and is expected to create 15 permanent local operations and maintenance (O&M) jobs.
Musketeer Wind represents a major investment in Vermilion County and will generate over $100 million dollars in property taxes during the first 30 years of operation of the project.
It will provide significant income benefits to project participants as well as increased tax revenue to many taxing bodies within Vermilion County. Among the beneficiaries of the increased tax revenue are the Hoopeston school district, Butler, Grant, and Middlefork Townships and Road Districts, Danville Area Community College, and many other taxing bodies.
